Step
Out!
In a city where guitar pickers almost out number
cars on the road, Nashville's Jack Pearson numbers among the very
best of the entire lot...strong singing that would do The Allman
Brothers proud...his songs are compact, appealing and harbor intelligent
lyrics on rising above trouble..." BluesWire
"An absolutely brilliant solo album...amazing guitar work,
smooth vocals, and some first-rate songwriting...an uplifting and
refreshing listening experience..." John Lynskey, Hittin'
the note
"[Jack] shows the maturity and good taste to let his guitar
playing serve the music, rather than the other way around...delivered
in an earthy unforced vocal style. Great grooves..." Rusty
Russell, Music Row
"A distinctive guitar sound...his voice...rings true and
full of feeling...the lyrics and hooks will stick in your mind...the
kind of music you'll want to hear every couple weeks for the rest
of your life..." Jay Caplan, Music City Bluesletter

CD Baby hit me
Reviewer: Bent Gregers (Denmark)
A month ago I was hit by CD Baby and Jack Pearson and thank you
for that. Im now sitting here with a cd that's 10 years old and
I have to admit, great stuff. Jack Pearson you don't need ABB they
need you.
More than Awesome.......
Reviewer: Ron Thompson
This is a must listen for guitar players that are into the Allman
Brothers and beyond. There are awesome grooves and high quality
phrasing throughout that is a STEP OUT from the norm. There are
plenty of licks to learn here.....
Buy this CD !
Reviewer: Mark
One listen and you will understand why the Allman Brothers had him
in the band. This guy can play. This CD along with his other two
releases feature great guitar playing.

Jack
Pearson
"This is one smokin' CD--subtle and smooth with
not a word on it...at times it's old jazz, moody and deep, while
other times it's burning and hot. It swings and sways, draws you
in at the moment, takes your breath away, and makes you smile."
Kirk West, Hittin' the note
"A Jack Pearson guitar feast...one of the finest albums you
could treat yourself to...blues along with jazz, country, funk,
gospel, rock and...a bit of Spanish guitar picking...truly one of
the most amazing and versatile guitarists I have ever known...a
musical tour de force." Music City Bluesletter
"Clean guitar lines, catchy harmonies, infectious grooves,
and melodies that stick with you." Austin Bealmear, JAZZ

William
Howse & Jack Pearson
"Authentic...Gutbucket blues, complete with
harmonica wuffing and bottleneck guitar. 'Old School' and proud
of it." Robert K. Oermann,
Music Row
"Fine harp playing and nuanced vocals...with interesting licks
that feel right, tonally and texturally. [Howse's] playing and singing
interweave seamlessly with Jack Pearson's sympathetic guitar accompaniment...his
slide work on National steel has a sweet, sometimes mournful quality
that works well...a solid first release." Tom Townsley, Blues
revue
"Two old friends, two bluesmen extraordinaire, two kindred
spirits, two brothers. William Howse and Jack Pearson combine their
love of the blues and their natural affinity and connection to each
other to give us an outstanding look into acoustic blues songs and
stylings. Twenty years or more of playing the blues together allows
these fine musicians the opportunity to come up with a front porch
collection of original tunes, easy to listen to, with much to say
and even more to ingest...a real gem of great blues. Stripped down
and very basic, the CD features William's harp, Jack's National
steel body guitar, and vocals from both men...musicians of the finest
order...simply stellar and worth getting by anyone who is schooled
in the blues in any way..." Bill Ector, Hittin' the note

Take me to the porch
Reviewer: Rob O.
Wherever you may be, you can travel to a front porch in Tennessee,
it's as easy as buying this CD.
Very natural sounding, with the right rig, you are
there!
Reviewer: Don A.
Bought this on a recommendation, not being a huge blues fan. Guess
what? It's a killer disc, played with heart, by a couple of honest
musicians. Get It!
This is a "Humdinger"...Excellent...Blues
at its finest.
Reviewer: Keith H.
This is a very, very good acoustic blues CD. You have to at least
listen to the samples...but beware...if you listen you are going
to want to buy it NOW!!! Great work guys.
Reviewer: CD Baby
Allman Brother's former guitarist, Jack Pearson, and harmonica master,
William Howse, bring you soul-splitting, acoustic, delta-style blues
originals. Life may have picked you up, thrown you down and stepped
on you with spiky boots but lift your eyes and ears up to this album
that is so blue, it aches. Put down that bottle of Jack Daniel's
and let this music embody all that low-down no-goodness worth so
much ingenuity.
Jackie P. rips it!
Reviewer: Kevin Burke
I didn't realize that Jack had released a new CD. I was thrilled
to see it available. It is down home, front porch, southern fried
blues. Jack and William take you back to the delta with the advantage
of 2003 recording technology. I bet the blues musicians that have
gone before can rest a little easier knowing that this CD is out
there. Not a bad song on the disk!
This is one of the best blues cd's on the market
today!
Reviewer: Greg Ortis
This is one of the best acoustic/harmonica blues set on the market
